A police station in southern Sweden was evacuated on Thursday morning after a suspected bomb was found outside.

The police station, in the southern port of Ystad, was sealed off at 6.30am when staff found a small rucksack outside the building.

But following an examination of the bag by bomb disposal experts, police were able to confirm that it did not contain any explosives.

"We have removed the cordons," said Ewa-Gun Westford, information officer at Skåne Police.
