Man found dead on Gothenburg street

Police suspect foul play after a man was found dead on a street in the Hisingen district of Gothenburg on Thursday morning.

A number of people found near the scene - police are refusing to say exactly how many - were taken in for questioning.

The circumstances of the man's death are so far unclear.

"A forensic examination is being carried out at the scene," said press spokesman Jan Strannegård.

The cause of death is unknown and the dead man has not been identified. A number of criminal gangs are known to operate in the part of Hisinge where the man was found.
