Man stabbed to death in Borlänge

A 21-year-old man in Borlänge was stabbed to death outside a fast food restaurant on Friday night.

Police have arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

Thre stabbing took place outside McDonald's in the Kupolen shopping centre in the cntral Swedish town, 200 kilometres north west of Stockholm.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 2am and were able to arrest the 19-year-old suspect. The victim died in an ambulance on the way to hospital.

"A row broke out between two young men. The man who has been arrested was pointed out to us by witnesses," said police spokesman Åke Lindman.

A number of witnesses were questioned overnight, while police also carried out a forensic examination at the crime scene.
