A man bound with duct tape was rescued from a burning billiard hall by fire fighters in northern Stockholm on Sunday night.

The man, believed to be the owner of the Royal Palace billiard hall in Jakobsberg, was taken to Sankt Göran's Hospital to be treated for minor smoke injuries.

Police and fire fighters were called to the scene shortly before 3am. It took an hour for emergency services to put out the fire, which was limited to just one billiard table.

The man found bound with tape inside the premises was questioned by police on Monday morning.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
