Police have arrested two men on suspicion of involvement in at least one of two armed robberies carried out in Västerhaninge on Friday morning.

The men were apprehended in Jordbro and Skogås late on Friday night and are currently being held by police.

According to Gert Rosvall of the Södertörn police, both men are suspected in the robbery of the Västerhaninge Swedbank.

He wasn't sure if the men would also considered suspects in the hold up at the nearby Handelsbank.

The dramatic heists took place just after 9 o'clock on Friday morning. The perpetrators used automatic weapons and explosives, forcing personnel and customers to the floor.

One or more of the robbers escaped in a dark green Volvo. The getaway vehicle was later discovered about 10 kilometers away in Skogås.

There were no reports of any injuries at either bank.

The ‘fairytale' boarding school nestled in a Swedish village

The words ‘boarding' and ‘school' often summon images of strict teachers, drab dormitories and downcast children. That image couldn't be further from reality at Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket (SSHL), where boarders describe the ‘fairytale' school as a home away from home.
