Three men pulled over in a routine traffic stop in the southern Swedish town of Karlskrona late Sunday night probably wished they had chosen different clothing.

On their pants police noticed plastic badges often used by stores to prevent shoplifting.

“When police looked through the car they discovered a sizeable stash of stolen goods,” said Lennart Hornemark from the Skåne and Blekinge police department to the TT news agency.

During a follow up search of one of the three men's home police found even more pilfered merchandise.

“There were hundreds of mobile phones and a massive amount of clothing. It appears as if they have been very busy breaking into stores and shops,” said Hornemark.
