They ordered cream cakes and they got cream cakes. But there was way too much cream, thought the workers in Essunga council's Nossebro offices.

A petition was drawn up and twelve unhappy people signed, writes the Nya Lidköpings-Tidningen newspaper.

The written critique was then handed over to the bakery.

The most senior civil servant in the west-central Swedish municipality ended up calling the bakery and apologizing for the employees' behavior.

According to the paper, the cake drama took place last week in connection with a farewell party.
