Robbers attempt heist at cashless bank
Three would-be bank robbers sped off empty handed from the Swedbank branch in Älvsjö south of Stockholm on Thursday night.
They stormed the bank shortly after six o'clock, as one masked men threatened a teller with an automatic weapon while two others waited outside in a getaway vehicle.
"It was then he realized it was a cashless branch," said police spokeswoman Ann-Sofie Ahlgren to the TT news agency.
The robbery ended with the armed man hopping back in the car with his two accomplices and leaving the scene.
As of late Thursday night, no arrests had been made.
