Memorial service for murdered toddlers

Around 450 people took part in a memorial service on Saturday for the two children murdered in Arboga, central Sweden. Besides friends and family, hundreds of people crowded into the Heliga Trefaldighets church.
It was a final opportunity to leave flowers, light a candle and leave messages of condolences in a book. A large photo of the children was placed at the back of the church.
Tragically, Maximillian and Saga Jangestig never reached their respective 4th and 2nd birthdays. They were brutally murdered almost eight weeks ago in a case that has shaken Sweden and especially the area they are from in Arboga near Västerås.
The children’s mother was in intensive care for many weeks after the attacks. At the funeral it was apparent that her hair has only just started to grow out after being shaven off for various operations.
A German woman is currently the prime suspect and being held in custody in Sweden.
