Button becomes 'tumour' in hospital miss
07:13 CEST+02:00
The day after a lung x-ray at Sollefteå hospital in northern Sweden, Ingrid Norlin received some shocking news.

The images revealed that she had a tumour in one of her lungs.

The next day a more thorough examination was carried out, after which Ingrid was informed of some new findings.

The "tumour" in the pictures was actually a button from the hospital gown worn by the woman at the time of her x-ray.

"It was horrible and terrible that they could have missed such a thing," Ingrid said to the Allehanda newspaper.

According to hospital director Inger Bergström, the hospital plans to investigate the incident.
