Woman sentenced to six years in prison for violent rape

A 32-year-old woman, who along with her brother attacked and raped a woman in her 60s, has been sentenced to six years in prison for rape.

The incident took place in the victim's apartment in Haparanda in northern Sweden.

According to the prosecutor's account, delivered in Haparanda District Court, the woman and her 38-year-old brother visited the victim late on the evening of January 24th.

With a knife drawn, and while hitting and kicking the woman, the pair violently robbed her and then proceeded to force the victim to masturbate and perform oral sex on the brother, as well as perform oral sex on the sister.

Following the attack, the victim was held hostage in her apartment for the remainder of the night.

The 32-year-old woman denies the crime and in court claimed that she was in Finland when the attack took place.

Her brother is still at large and has yet to be charged in the incident.
