Accidents abound on icy roads
At least fifteen accidents were reported in western Sweden overnight as treacherous road conditions prevailed. There were no reports of any injuries.
Police in Halland received reports of five accidents, while in Västra Götaland the number of accidents came to around ten.
"Police who have been out said people should have taken skates instead of their cars," said Halland police spokesman Niklas Andersson.
Hazardous surface conditions led to the speed limit being reduced to 60 kilometres per hour on the E6 motorway between Laholm and Falkenberg.
