Zlatan out of Arsenal Champions League clash
After tearing a thigh muscle, Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be fit for Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal at the Nou Cam, his Barcelona club said Sunday.
Ibrahimovic scored both of Barca's goals in the 2-2 draw at the Emirates to leave the Catalan club favourites to progress but "Ibra has a small tear which will prevent him from playing in the return," a Barcelona statement said.
The club did not reveal whether the Swede would be fit for next weekend's "El Classico" against La Liga title rivals Real Madrid.
Ibrahimovic, 28, felt the injury in Saturday's 4-1 win over Athletic Bilbao.
Barca coach Pep Guardiola now has to re-jig his attack against the Gunners having already lost central defensive tandem Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol to suspension.
French veteran Thierry Henry could now start while other options are Bojan, twice on target against Bilbao, and the emerging Pedro.
