Orders fall in June - but are up on 2009

Swedish industry saw orders fall by 2.5 percent between May and June, according to preliminary figures from Statistics Sweden. But the figures were a 15.5 percent rise on June 2009.

Orders increased by 3.1 percent in the second quarter compared with the first quarter.

Demand from the domestic market fell 2.6 percent between May and June, while export orders were down 2.4 percent.

Industrial production increased 1.1 percent from May to June, according to seasonally adjusted figures. Compared with June last year, industrial production was up 12 percent.

In the second quarter, industrial production was up 5.8 percent compared with the first quarter.
