Man fined after demanding sex refund from teen's dad
A 57-year-old man has been fined by a Swedish court for grooming a 13-year-old girl for sex after he approached the girl's father for a cash refund when she declined to show up as agreed.
The man, reported to be a plumber from the Stockholm area, was found guilty by Nacka district court of attempting to buy sexual services from a child after having arranged a date with the teenager via a contact website.
After arranging to meet the girl for sex, the man then deposited 500 kronor ($73) in her bank account in advance of their date.
When the girl did not show up, the man obtained her home telephone number, called her father and demanded a refund.
The father then reported the 57-year-old to the police and charges were subsequently filed.
The man denied the charges, claiming that he believed that the girl was much older than 13.
