The girl was walking home alone from a friend's house when the attack occurred.

According to the local Kvällsposten daily, the girl became aware that a man was following her and began to run towards Lindängeskolan but he caught up with her and trip her up.

The newspaper reports how the man is thought to have held a can with a strong smelling liquid, believed by the police to be chloroform or ether, under her nose so that she became dazed and eventually passed out.

He is then suspected of having raped the 12-year-old. The girl came to later that evening, but not before nightfall.

The newspaper reports that there were several patches of sperm on her clothing after the attack.

The police have secured a few leads but on Monday morning no one had been arrested. Police believe that the man has carried out several similar attacks.

Andres Kristenson, who is leading the investigation with the Malmö police, believes that there are strong chances of solving the crime.

Story continues below…

"But I don't want to give any further details," he said to the TT news agency.

The case has been classified as aggravated rape. The man is reported to be around 30-years-old, 170 centimetres tall and was wearing black clothing.

"The man is reported to be around 30-years-old, 170 centimetres tall and was wearing black clothing."

What a useless description - how is anybody supposed to help - it's half the population of 30+ males in Malmö

So No need for racist accusations from Da Stupid Goat.

Could we have a better description, please, ethnicity, origin, African, middle east, immigrant, illegal immigrant, other characteristics that could help catch the perpetrator.
10:29 October 3, 2011 by fedotovskiy
Sorry for my ignorance:

What sentence could get this man, according to swedish law ?
10:49 October 3, 2011 by RobinHood
@Da Goat

"seems like he had it well planned ..."

So well planned, he left his DNA all over her clothes. The lab results should be coming back about lunchtime. If he's on record, they'll pick him up by this evening. If he's not on the record, it will take a little longer.

This guy, along with everybody else, has seen CSI. He wants to get caught. He might as well have left his business card.

I added a few possible perpetrators to your post that you may have forgotten by mistake :-)

"Could we have a better description, please, ethnicity, origin, African, middle east, immigrant, illegal immigrant, (SWEDISH, NORDIC, EUROPEAN, ORIENTAL, NORTH AMERICAN, SOUTH AMERICAN; AUSTRALIAN; JAMACIAN, RUSSIAN, etc. etc. etc.)other characteristics that could help catch the perpetrator."

I`d say that there was some form of planing that went into this. You don`t go around with Chloroform or Ether if you don`t have evil intentions.
14:23 October 3, 2011 by AnonCoward
Please let us know the ethnic background of the rapist so that we can help the police. Thank you.
14:51 October 3, 2011 by jacquelinee
Please let us know any discernable features the rapist had so we can help out- Weight, hair colour and style, scars, tattoos, insignia on clothing (I.E. Marihuana leaf, swastika, rock band, brand name etc) Was a car involved? What style of black clothing was the man wearing (jeans, dress pants, sweats, uniform)?
14:55 October 3, 2011 by soultraveler3
The police should give better descriptions, not to create racial tension, but to help catch criminals.

They don't even have to give a race (although they should since the feelings /protection of the victim and any future victims should outweigh the feelings of a criminal) but at least give an eye color, hair color and any distinguishing features.

There are people out there that are friends, neighbors, family members and co-workers with the people who commit crimes. A simple description (mid 30s, tall, black hair, blue eyes, tattoos, a lisp etc.) A bunch of easy things like that could be included that might make someone say "Hey, I know that guy!" and call the police.
15:05 October 3, 2011 by jacquelinee
@ soultraveler3

dead on! I agree also that the race should be stated. The safety of our children is far more important than the "political corrrectness" as to weather the perp was Canadian, British, Indonesian, Iranian, Nigerian, Swedish, Chinese etc)
15:58 October 3, 2011 by Svensksmith
I don't know the race but I'm pretty sure it was a male. Does that help?
16:16 October 3, 2011 by StuartM
As svensksmith alludes to we have no idea what the race/ethnicity of the perpetrator was but we sure know his gender. Instead of singling out immigrants as the problem we should be asking why men of all ethnicities rape women in the first place. What is it about men (and the masculine gender roles they are encouraged to follow) that results in women in all parts of the world being hurt, raped and abused?
16:42 October 3, 2011 by Lukestar1991
@StuartM Precisely, finally some sense.

"Andres Kristenson, who is leading the investigation with the Malmö police, believes that there are strong chances of solving the crime.

"But I don't want to give any further details," he said to the TT news agency.

All you people crying for the Police to give more details read the statement the Police spokesman gave. and THINK for once.

They have DNA, they have a description and they are expecting to solve the crime.

They do not want to give any more details lest they either forewarn the perp that they are on to him or get somebody else wrongly accused of it.

But avoiding false accusations has never been of concern to some around here.
16:49 October 3, 2011 by Migga
This article is not about some study around men raping women. It`s about a criminal who raped a 12 year old girl in Malmo. Let`s discuss that instead.
17:28 October 3, 2011 by rouzi

Sorry friend If I made you sad. I personally prefer to hear or read bu do not judge or believe unless I am fully aware of the situation.
17:31 October 3, 2011 by calebian22
Indeed! Who gives a crap as to the why? Give a better description so the public can help find the guy and put him in jail for six months. That'll teach him a lesson. Yessiree!
17:36 October 3, 2011 by jacquelinee
@ Migga

You are absolutely correct. I will apologise to Marilyn Von Savant iin advance since I am about to paraphrase what I have read, listened to on radio, or saw on television documentaries and do not feel the need to spend a couple of hours trying to research all the sources, some which I do not even remember where the source was.

That being said...it is my understanding that the aim of rape against woman is not one of a sexual nature, but rather that of power and control. There are always enough women of questionable moral values that will have sex voluntarily. Rape out of necessity is hardly a motive.

However, raping a child falls under another category. It is a perversion and deviant behaviour. Any act of violence is deviant behaviour, and the rape of a child is an especially violent act.

I must say that the age of the internet has changed our world totally. Some changes are to our benefit and some to our detrement. The immense quantity of "easy access" pornography with a push of the "enter" button had anesthetized

morality in nearly every culture. Without total fixation by parents on screening their childrens computer usuage, by the time most children are 10 they have seen pretty much and by 13 have seen more than adults 30 years ago ever did. A 25 or 30 year old man has grown up influenced by porn in many cases, and not just mainstreem porn, but every kind of deviant, voiolent sick porn also.

Those who are tittilated by "child porn" will only get the thrill out of an onscreen experience for so long, and ultimately very very many will not be satisfied until they have a real life experience. Our children are like lambs to the slaughter for these sick predators.

Also, the fact that older men in so many cultures want younger and younger women is really nothing new. This is not a new phenomenon. It has been perpetuated in all cultures since history became recorded. It has only been within the last 100 years or so that it was not totally acceptable for a woman to marry as early as 13. I am speaking now of Christianity. A 25 year old was shamefully considered to be an old maid. In many cultures today this is still an acceptable practice.

We must also note that it is not just women who are raped, or girls, boys are raped as well.

Those who rape have huge feelings of inferiority, insecurity, a feeling of a lack of value, feel their sexual capabilities are inadequate and all of these combine to create hostility that is then vented by deviant behaviour of sorts, rape in this instance. Deviant behaviour will always rear its ugly head and is actually increasing because of the availability of it's images on porn.

Heavier sentencing and more severe penalities may be a deterent, I am all for castration for anyone raping a child. A man may think twice, if there is a possibility of losing his little prized appendage.
18:44 October 3, 2011 by Migga
Great, let`s not talk about the case. Let`s talk about porn, christianity and mutilating criminals.

Also what great dubble standards there are. You don`t wanna talk about social structures, etnicity or education but you love to point out the men. Why only talk about men? Why not humans, indiferent of sex? If you don`t wanna talk about sex, age, etnicity, education, income, culture and social structures then let`s not.

Let`s discuss why one human would comit a crime against another human. What is it about humans that results in humans in all parts of the world being hurt, abused, raped and killed? And be really political correct.

Why do you narrow it down to men only? And if you say that it`s because the majority of rapes are done by men then let`s continue along that line. The next step is to look at what kind of men are in the majority when it comes to rapes outdoors in Sweden. Or are we getting to close to talking about this case again then?
19:40 October 3, 2011 by Svensksmith

You did not make me sad nor mad. I am just trying to figure out what you meant by your comment.
00:26 October 4, 2011 by jacquelinee
@ Migga My agreement to you was for your post # 12. PThe rest of my response was too StuartM #18, which I forgot to add to my previous post #24. Sorry about the confusion.

The case needs to be discussed, and also the reason for cases such as this in order to get a better understanding of the the reasons WHY people offend. If the reason WHY can be narrowed down, the possibility of preventing some attacks may be plausible. At least the possibility of narrowing down the possible perpetrators arises.

Also, Migga, the reason we are discussing MEN is because the perpetrator in this particular article was officially stated to be male. It really can't get much clearer than that.
01:01 October 4, 2011 by Migga
@ jacquelinee

Yeah but you and StuartM isn`t talking about the man in the article. You are talking about men.

It`s like talking about humans. Because the perpatrator in this particular artical was offficially stated to be human.

Same thing. That`s what my rant was about.

But you don`t wanna talk about the case. You wanna go on talking about men, porn, christianity and mutilating criminals. And StuartM is trying to remove the case from it`s context and talk in general terms about men around the world.

Let`s talk about the case instead. How the perpetrator clearly planned this attack. That it`s probably happend before. That the criminal is probably familiar with the area. An area with a population with low income and education. How the media isn`t saying anything. How the police has failed to inform the community enough about what the criminal looks like. What area the attack happend in. What demographics reside there. If there are any buildings of interest around the place. And so on. Anything that can explain why it happend or who the criminal is. So it won`t happen again.
01:01 October 4, 2011 by StuartM

I should have used the term "women and girls". Was referring to male violence generally but of the course the fact that it was a 12 year old girl involved makes this a particularly abhorrent case. I totally agree that we need to look at the aspects of our culture which serve to justify and promote male violence. As you mention porn is perhaps the most serious and clearly sends out all the wrong messages to young males within today's society.
10:27 October 4, 2011 by Streja
Migga, read Rick's post.

It does not matter if the man is a criminal immigrant or whatever, as you seem to want to discuss for some odd reason. That does not mean that all immigrant men are rapists. I mean come on! The guy who shot people in Malmö was Swedish and the rapist up north was as well. Most rapists are known to the victim.

The reason why the police won't give out more info is probably because the girl was drugged! She can only say so much! How would she be able to say if he had a tattoo Jaqceline?
10:36 October 4, 2011 by jacquelinee
@ Stuart #28

Very true. We cannot just view this "case" as an isolated incindent. It is not and this type of crime is escalating. It is not just this single case with this single perpetrator. It is a pattern that seems to be evolving in modern society. We need to examine WHY. Then perhaps this type of viloent criminal can be spotted "before" innocent victims are raped.

This is Sweden. The authorities are only going to give you that familiar, blanket statement "We are looking into it." with an extremely non descript description. And the media is only going to give you their usual rhetoric "a man attacked...."

No one will take the chance of stepping on toes. You have certainly read enough news articles to realise this. The only time "names are named" is when it is a "safe" article or the final decision has been made in a court of law.

Also, I can defend the police in this regard too a certain extent....too much information, and they could possiby end up with a "vigilante". You know that type. The type of person (irregardless of gender ;-) Happy?) that if he/she hears "the perpetrator had white hair and was wearing a blue plaid coat" will be out and ready to "sort it out" with everyone he/she sees with white hair and a blue plaid coat.
11:15 October 4, 2011 by orangestar
Can i ask if there are immigrants that raped women or girls in Sweden? And also if these cases are isolated or not and if swedish men are involved in these crimes.
11:49 October 4, 2011 by jacquelinee
@ Streja

People lave tattoos on their hands, fingers, necks, faces as well as just on their chests and arms etc. Also, their could be piercings, scars, moles etc. That is the sort of thing I was referring too. Many, many people have that little cross tattoo on their hands or fingers, and maybe the little girl could have noticed it as she had the cloth over her nose. seemed like a reasonable thought process to me.
15:45 October 4, 2011 by Migga
@ Streja

I`ve never said it`s a criminal immigrant, that`s your view. You are seeing what you want and make it up as you go. I`m open to any discussion tho, except for the one where we only limit it to just men. Why limit ourselves to men, why not be political correct all the way and discuss why humans attack other humans?

The man in Malmo is finnish. Most rape cases taken place outside have an unknown perpetrator in the eyes of the victim.
16:17 October 4, 2011 by Rick Methven
Do I have to spell it out.

The Police spokesman said:

"But I don't want to give any further details"

The police have a good idea as to who the perp is, they have DNA and most probably more information from the victim. The police in their wisdom do not want to warn the guy by giving any more information.

and they are certainly not going to give any info to the losers on The Local that could be twisted and used to start a vigilante stampede. Until somebody is arrested and convicted for this crime, you will have to just wait. all your speculations and demands will as always be ignored by all those in authority
17:09 October 4, 2011 by jacquelinee
@ Rick Methven

Simply because we take an active interest in the events that reflect the state of our world, and especially those that affect the country where we reside, definately does not make us losers. The fact that we have differing opinions and beliefs does not make us losers. I can disagree adamentley on occasion with Streja, Migga and many others, including you. However I respect their viewpoints, and their right to voice them, irregardless of whether it differs from mine. None of us are exclusively correct all the time. None of us are omniscient Mr. Methven, including you.

I take huge offense to you calling all of us here losers (yourself included ironically since you are a frequent and consistent poster) None of us are losers whether or not we have opposing views. I am afraid in this instance you are being simply rude and ignorant.

The simple fact that all of us who are concerned enough to take the time to post, deserve the common decency and respect to be heard. We are passionately opposed to this travesty and are outraged enough to speak out.

Albert Einstein said something to the effect of "The real evil in this world is not from the act of those who do wrong, but of those who are silent and do nothing."
17:42 October 4, 2011 by cogito
"None of us are exclusively correct all the time. None of us are omniscient Mr. Methven, including you."

@Jacquelinee. +1. It has been pointed out by many others here that Rick M. should refrain from calling posters "losers." He actually holds the record for the poster who most often gets it wrong.
18:26 October 4, 2011 by jostein

The crazy policies of swedish media that is also seeping into the police through their politically apointed bosses is just as obsessed with ethnicity and just as racist. I read an article a year back where DN wrote an article which main point was that the police was pleading for help from the public to catch a pedophile in southern stockholm. But dn refused to publish a link to the police page (since ethnicity was mentioned there).

If the police and media published what descriptions they had of perps, that would just be normal and relaxed behaviour in trying to catch perps. Swedish media is hysterical in this respect. Totally obsessed with ethnicity and hysterically claiming they are not.
12:36 October 5, 2011 by Migga
The girl was not raped. The stains found on her clothes, which were intact and not torn, were not sperm.

The police however still think she was attacked and drugged.

I guess one should be glad that she wasn`t raped. Perhaps next time the victim won`t be as lucky.

Question-Was he a Moslem???
16:06 October 5, 2011 by jacquelinee
@ Burito #41

What possible difference does that make? He was a SICKO, whether he was muslim, Irish, Danish, British, Martian, Polkadot or Plaid. Every race, ethnicity, religious persuasion, country has its share of decent folk and it's share of Sickos. Read the post about the career criminal who beat to death the prison guard. He was swedish. Where you came from etc. does not make you good, or evil. It is only who YOU are in your OWN mind that can do that, whether your name is Johansson, O'Reily, Hassan, Chen, Ahmed, Jones, Svensson, Gonzales or whatever.
23:02 October 5, 2011 by Bobafetto08
@StuartM and all the rest of you bleeding-heart cultural marxists/diversity fundamentalists out there! It makes a lot of sense to publicise a complete description of wanted criminals - including details of race and etniticity - for at least three reasons.

1) It raises public awareness which will help capture dangerous criminals.

2) It raises public awareness so women know what category of male to avoid until these kind of creatures are captured and behind bars.

3) It raises public awareness on what category of people are guilty of these crimes so people can vote for the right kind of politicians - with the right kind of solutions to these problems - into office.

For instance in neighboring Norway, all aggravated rape cases in Oslo, in the past 5 years, were commited by men of non-Western European origin. This information will prove vital to the Norwegian people it they wish to succesfully fight these heinous crimes against women.

We all know the situation - with a high probability - is very similar here in Sweden. However, Swedish MSM has taken it into their hands to distort the truth by withholding vital information when the criminal has a foreign/non-European appearence, and publishing when the description fits a Swedish/ Northern european looking person.

Here in the utopian socialist democrature of Sweden, the people are denied the truth by the MSM and established political elites, who have decided that Swedes can't handle the truth, thus rendering the nation blind vis-a-vis vital information, essential for making correct decisions that would ensure a safe and harmonious and crime-free society.

My heart was moved out of pity for the girl victim. I believe this incident could have been prevented if her parent was just able to provide their kids a protection for themselves. And I can't imagine if my only daughter would be at the situation. So, in line with this I wanted to suggest this blog that I just found by anationofmoms about a service that can protect your family via your cell phone. And at the bottom, there is an opportunity to enter a drawing for 6 months of that service just by liking them on Facebook.
