‘Force’ municipalities to receive refugee children: minister

The Swedish Migration Board (Migrationsverket) is having trouble convincing Sweden’s municipalities to receive sufficient numbers of unaccompanied refugee children. Tobias Billström, Minister for Migration and Asylum Policy, now wants to force municipalities to step up, reported national radio station SR.

Over the course of one year, an elderly woman living in Ängelholm, in southern Sweden, was visited by 52 different care givers from home care services. Her daughter is now pleading for help from the municipality, asking that something be done about the high staff turnover.
