The young woman, from Värmland County, had handed in the faulty phone to be repaired at a Kristinehamn company in June this year, according to local paper Nya Wermlands Tidningen (NWT).
The phone was sent to the factory in Västerås to be fixed. Not long after the woman got her phone back, she stumbled across the offending footage stored in the phone’s memory.
When told what was on the phone, the company immediately filed a police report.
Investigators think that the man featured in the masturbation clip is a worker at the factory, as the footage shows him wearing the factory issued work shoes, according to the paper.
”We are waiting for the investigation to be concluded. What we know so far is that the film was recorded in the staff toilets in Västerås,” said Sweden manager Roger Engström to NWT.
Engström told the paper that they are fairly certain they will be able to identify the masturbating man and that he will then be fired. The company is currently mulling how to avoid anything similar from happening again.
“Camera surveillance could be an option, though not in the toilets,” said Engström to the paper.
