The shooting occurred shortly after 11pm on Friday evening.

The two men are reported to have been refused entry to the late night drinking establishment TB's bar/restaurant in Tumba in southern Stockholm.

The men left the premises and later returned in a car half an hour later, opening fire while sitting inside the vehicle.

"They fired shots at the guards and the guests in the queue," said Åsa Johannesson at Södertörn police station.

Police confirmed that no nobody sustained any injuries in the shooting.

The police were called to the scene but the men are reported to have left. They then later returned and were detained in their car and their weapons were seized.

According to the Dagens Nyheter daily, the men are previously known to police and both hold criminal records, although not for particularly serious offences.

The men are reported to be in their twenties and have been detained on suspicion of attempted murder.
