The incident took place in July when the victim noticed a man following her as she made her way home in the town of Sölvesborg. Shortly after returning home she heard a noise coming from outside her front door, the local Blekinge Läns Tidning (BLT) newspaper reported.

When she went to the door to investigate what was causing the mysterious sounds, she was shocked to see a man's penis sticking through her mail slot.

When the woman opened the door, the suspected flasher quickly fled the scene.

The day following the letterbox incident, the man also allegedly exposed himself to a woman he passed on the street.

The 35-year-old has now been charged with two counts of sexual assault, although he denies accusations that he exposed himself to the two women.

The man has however admitted he was under the influence of amphetamines after tests revealed traces of the drug in his blood. As a result, he has also been charged for minor drug offences.
