IN PICTURES: Malmö is considered the edgier of two cities, putting staid civil-servant Stockholm to shame. This five-room duplex in the Swedish fusion of La Croisette and Venice Beach is a case in point.

Pastel-coloured houses, a next-door roof covered in moss and flowers, and cranes plotting their way cross the horizon. That's your view. And then, the Turning Torso literally dwarfing everything, including the picturesque pebbles on the beach.

You can even see the skyscraper from one of the toilets in this impressive two-storey home. But turn around, and there's Denmark. Well, almost. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the kitchen and living area plus hallway give the flat a captain's bridge kind of feel as you hover over the Öresund sound, the bridge visible.

The upstairs terrace, tucked neatly into the eves of the modern building, offers views straight across the sound.

All yours, if you want to join the bidding race, from a starting price of 7,895,000 kronor ($1.2 million).
