Murderer on the loose after breakout

A 34-year-old man who killed a child is on the run after he broke out of a psychiatric ward in central Sweden.
Police are on the lookout for a man who escaped from a psychiatric ward in Kristinehamn on Sunday. The man broke out during an hour-long break, in which patients are allowed to be in a fenced-in outdoor area without being supervised. "We don't actually know how it happened, all we know is that he didn't come back," head physician Rune Andersson told the Aftonbladet newspaper on Monday. The man was convicted of murdering a five-year-old girl outside her pre-school in Arvika in 2003. Andersson said that there was "extremely little risk" that the man would be violent. "Otherwise he wouldn't have been allowed to go outside at all," he said.
