Topping this year's list is prime minister Stefan Löfven, followed by Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson.
The third most powerful person in Sweden, according to Fokus, is Left Party Leader Jonas Sjöstedt – largely due to the fact that his small party has a large influence in Swedish politics.
Indeed, the majority of the top ten was filled by politicians, with the exception of Riksbank head Stefan Ingves in fourth and Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson, the head of trade union LO, in eighth.
Four women were in the top ten, and the top hundred featured 36 new names.
The biggest leap was by the prime minister's state secretary Emma Lennartsson, who rocketed from 77th last year to 12th in 2014.
Former Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt saw the biggest drop, slipping from 2nd place to 42nd this year.
