Calling all liquorice lovers! This weekend liquorice enthusiasts from all corners of the world will gather at Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm to indulge their love of the tasty black treat at The Annual Swedish Liquorice Festival or 'Lakritsfestivalen' 'in Swedish.
This year, visitors will have the chance to sample a variety of liquorice and chocolate combinations, cook liquorice inspired dishes with chefs, enjoy a three course menu with liquorice and even get a liquorice massage at the festival's spa. There will even be tasting workshops inspired by the erotic best seller 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
If the thought of liquorice makes you turn up your nose, have no fear. A highly anticipated Ice Cream Festival runs parallel to the Liquorice Festival in the same venue, with entry to both events costing 135 kronor.
The festival runs throughout Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased at the venue or to avoid queues, you can book online.
In the mood for a good laugh? Stand up comedy in English is heading to Norrköping.
