Here's what to do before it’s too late:
Already registered, requested and received your ballot? Fill it out and send it back to your election office ASAP to make sure it is received by your State's deadline. The Federal Voting Assistance Program recommends mailing your voted ballot by October 15.
Registered and requested, but still haven't received your ballot? You can use the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB) at www.FVAP.gov as a backup ballot. Just fill it out and send it to your election office like your regular ballot. To check the status of your requested ballot, contact your election office.
Still haven't registered and requested a ballot? Some State deadlines have passed, but you may still have time to request an absentee ballot using the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA). Go to www.FVAP.gov, and select your State to check your deadline.
After sending in your voted ballot, you can check its status by selecting your State at FVAP.gov.
