Sharing the best of The Local Voices

Sharing the best of The Local Voices
Anas Awad with his "Swedish family" told his story to The Local Voices
We told a lot of great stories in 2016. Did you get to read and share them all?

When The Local Voices launched in March 2016, we could never have imagined how much support and enthusiasm we would receive from our ever-expanding community of readers.

Your continued engagement helped us go a long way toward realizing our vision of giving newcomers more of a voice in Sweden by sharing personal stories that put newcomers in focus.

The Local Voices is now home to more than 100 unique newcomer stories that we believe provide valuable insight and understanding about the larger narrative of how Swedes and newcomers got to know each other in 2016.

And as we take a break from producing new stories to shape the next chapter in The Local Voices’ own story, we want to make it a little easier for our readers to relive and share our best stories from 2016.

Over the next several weeks we’ll be sharing our favourite (and most popular) stories via The Local Voices’ social media channels, and we’d like you to do the same.

So be sure to visit us on Facebook and Twitter to experience and share your favourite stories for a second time – and hopefully discover some stories you missed the first time around.

And don’t forget to share those stories further to help keep our community of readers vibrant and growing.

Thanks!
