MAP: Can I get a coronavirus antibody test where I live in Sweden?

A handful of Swedish regions are already offering coronavirus antibody tests, and some are planning to roll them out soon. This map shows what the rules are in your region.

This map is based on information provided by Swedish news agency TT and was accurate as of July 1st. Tap each region or hover your cursor over it to get more information, or scroll down for a list of all regions.

Please note that in some of the regions currently marked as red, antibody tests are already being offered to healthcare staff or staff in key roles, or are expected to be rolled out to the general public soon.

The map only shows tests offered by public healthcare; there may be private options available.

Region Blekinge

Anyone with symptoms can test for active infection. Staff in the healthcare and elderly care sector, as well as residents of care homes can get a free antibody test. The tests were set to start at the end of June.

Region Dalarna

Tests for active infection are offered to anyone, and healthcare staff can get antibody tests.

Region Gotland

Anyone with symptoms or a job considered to be socially important can get a test for active infection. It is not yet possible to test for antibodies.

Region Gävleborg

Anyone with symptoms can get a test for active infection and antibody tests are available to healthcare staff.

Region Halland

Self-tests for active infection are offered to anyone with symptoms, however some issues have been reported: it has not been possible to analyse a third of the tests for technical reasons. No decision has been made on when antibody tests can start.

It is currently only possible to get tested for active infection, but plans for increased testing are in the pipeline.

Region Jönköping

Healthcare staff and people with symptoms can be tested for active infection. The region is aiming to make antibody tests available to the general public by autumn.

Region Kalmar

Anyone with symptoms can get tested for active infection. There is no timeplan for when antibody tests for the general public are to be rolled out.

Region Kronoberg

People in socially important jobs are being tested for active infection. There is no general testing for active infection or antibodies being carried out.

Region Norrbotten

People with symptoms can get tested for active infection. Antibody tests are currently only available to healthcare staff but are expected to be made available to the general public by late summer or autumn.

Region Skåne

Anyone with symptoms will be able to get tested from July. Healthcare staff are being tested for active infection. Limited antibody testing is being carried out, but it is unclear when it will be extended to the public.

Region Stockholm

Free tests, diagnostic and antibody, are available to everyone. The booking app has crashed several times.

Region Sörmland

Anyone can get tested for active infection and antibody tests will be available from next week onwards.

Region Uppsala

Anyone with symptoms can get tested for active infection. The region also offers antibody tests at 25 health centres (vårdcentraler) at a fee of 200 kronor.

Region Värmland

Healthcare staff and people in socially important jobs can be tested for active infection. Plans for antibody tests are in the pipeline.

Region Västerbotten

Healthcare staff and people in socially important jobs are offered tests if they have symptoms. No antibody tests for the general public this summer, and after the summer limited antibody testing will be offered.

Region Västernorrland

People with minor symptoms can be tested for infection, and plans to scale it up are in the works. There is no timeframe for when antibody tests will be rolled out to the general public.

Region Västmanland

It is currently only possible to be tested for active infection, but the region is planning to scale it up. There is no timeframe for when antibody tests will be rolled out to the general public.

Region Örebro

Tests are offered to people in socially important jobs, and are also being rolled out to the general public this week. Antibody tests are available for a fee of 200 kronor.

Region Östergötland

Testing will be rolled out to the general public after the summer. Tests are currently available to residents and staff at elderly care homes and wards where coronavirus patients have stayed.

Region Västra Götaland

Patients and staff in the healthcare sector are prioritised for testing for active infection. Antibody tests are set to be offered to the general public by September for a fee of 160 kronor.
