Almost one year on since the first person in Sweden tested positive for coronavirus, we ask The Local's readers what the past year has been like for you.

In the past year, we have made an extra effort to raise your voices on The Local, for example by asking for your opinions on the Swedish response to the pandemic (we did this for example in April, in June, and in December)

We have also written about specific situations and challenges facing groups of readers, including people belonging to risk groups, those who moved to Sweden during the pandemic, the international student experience, how your workplaces responded, long-distance relationships, challenges facing new parents, and your Christmas plans. You can read the latest news about the outbreak in our paywall-free blog.

Now, we want to share your personal stories, looking back at the year that has been, and ahead to the year to come. If you feel comfortable doing so, please fill out the form below to tell us what the past year has been like for you. We know that everyone's experiences are different, and we want to hear about yours, so we have deliberately left the question vague – but if possible, please try to stick to the word limit.

Please feel free to talk about whatever is relevant to your life, big or small: Have you made a decision about your future that would not have happened without the pandemic? Have you lost a loved one, and would like to share their story with The Local's readers? How have you coped with isolation and travel restrictions? Have you picked up a new hobby? Has your opinion about life in Sweden changed? Has your life during the pandemic been very different, or do you spend your days doing mostly what you did before? What are your plans for 2021?
