I used to say...if you are Irish(Northern Ireland)why do you travel on an English passport???

Obviously you have no idea of the Irish situation...

I'll make it easy for you:

The south is Ireland and has an Irish passport...

Then there is Northern Ireland which is part of Great Britain and the people have an "English" passport...

The caveat being most think they are Irish, the Catholics that is...The rest...Bloody Prots!!! laugh.gif

Up the Republic!!!

No surrender!!!

And from the N.I. side, the Loyalists want all Fenian basta#ds back down south of the border to keep 6/9 Ulster, 6/9 Ulster. While in the south, many consider N.I. borders to encompass the 6 "occupied" (i.e. by the UK) counties.

Troubles, anyone?

Looking at the comments from a few here, I'd suggest most have very little idea of what the different sides of NI and Ireland want or wanted, how they've thought over the years and even some if the root causes of the disputes at different stages through the last few hundred years. What 99.9% of the population want is peace, they aren't bothered by an imaginary line that is used to stoke hatred by minorities on both sides, religion doesn't bother them either, as long as they can live and travel around life is good.
