The Local _ Miscellaneous _ Making New Friends

Posted by: AideenAideen 22.Jun.2018, 06:51 PM

From my own personal experience and what I have heard from others, making friends as an adult can be really challenging. It is particularly difficult when you move to a new place for work/college or you find that your old friends have moved away, or you’ve simply drifted apart.

This has given me the idea of creating an app for making friends. The aim is to connect people who want to make friends and have a high chance of getting on well. Before embarking on this project, I am looking to talk to people about their experiences of making friends, the good, the bad, and the downright ugly! I would love to learn from your experiences, so I can create an app that is tailored to the user’s needs.

It will only involve a few questions via email or private messaging on here. As a reward. I can also give you an early invitation to check out the prototype...that’s if you are curious!

Please private message me here or email me at if you are interested. I would really appreciate your input.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I too have a lot of problem making friends since I identify myself as an introvert. However, I made friends because of my hobby. I drive off-road and on trails so I came to meet people who do the same. Recently, I had a couple of them helped me install my set of my Toyota Tacoma. They know so much that it makes my hobby more fun and interesting.

Most of my friends from Sweden I met on final fantasy XIV, battlefield and through warhammer games. XD Some of these guys and girls I've known for 10 years now. We might only meet up once or twice a year. But we have a blast. I've only made friends in person here in Sweden through SFI. But they're other Europeans. The Arabic guys and girls in the class don't seem to want to hang out and prefer to stay in there bubbles.

A Swede is not a friend until they invite you into their home. Until they they are a hobby acquaintance.
