Are there any restrictions on buying a house and renting it out to tenants in Sweden?

I know some apartments are not allowed to do that by the board, but that shouldn't be the case for a detached house right?

It's not some but all apartments that can't be sublet without permission and even then it is a maximum of 1 year by law.

As for a house, I can't say for sure but if you own the freehold I can't see the restriction except it would be hideously expensive for the renter so that would be a stumbling block.
