A general question really.
I recently had to call the police round due to some anti-social behavior in my town and when the police arrived they asked me if I could name the perpetrator which I could as I knew who he was, the policeman then whipped out his smartphone and brought up a photo of the individual in question which was pretty neat. It got me thinking, do they have access to a big database of photos of everyone (perhaps through the ID card system) or is this photo just from their own internal database of people they have arrested and processed in the past? Would be interesting to know either way. |

And the drivers license photo database is used also, especially to match drivers caught on camera with.
Remember, freedom of information in Sweden means you too can get other peoples drivers license and passport applications including photos ;-) if you really want them. |
