Does anyone have anything from a couple of rooms to a house to rent in southern Sweden, for 2 or 3 months while we get registered and buy a permanent home? It needs to be a private arrangement, not only because we're not rich, but because landlords want a personnummer, and we can't get one till we have an address!

I think you are asking the impossible. 2 or 3 months you are going to find and buy a place to live, that will need a mortgage because your not rich. To top that get a person number and that you have answered yourself.
