Hi All,

I am about to move to Sweden from South East Asia (I am Danish)

The timing of the move would be around the 5th of July. I expect to start to get a income from 1st of August.

1) Since I am fully tax liable in the country I am leaving for the first part of the year (last salary end of July - but will be on garden leave in July) are there any dates i should be aware of in regards to my arrival to Sweden not to risk being tax liable for my full year income in Sweden?

2) Would it make a difference whether I get my last salary in the country I am leaving the 30th of June, 15th of July or 31st of July?

Thank you in advance for your help and support.

For work related income, you will be taxed on income earned whilst tax resident in Sweden. If the income is a delayed payment for work done before becoming tax resident then it is not counted as taxable in Sweden. Note that once you pass 183 days it isn't just income after that, the tax office will look back to the first date you moved to Sweden.
