This scam took place in 5 countries for over 2 years, yet none of the government agencies discovered the problem. Why does 70% of my income fund this useless government?

Note how the MSM first claimed it was impossible that is was from Fukushima because it happened in March. I guess they forgot nothing has improved at Fukushima, and in fact it has only gotten worse. The world has been bathing in radiation since March and the reactors continue to melt down and experience spontaneous fission.
Note also that the media only tells about the "harmless" Iodine-131 with it's short half-life. They never mention that the reactor used mox plutonium and stored spent fuel ABOVE the reactor, which we all saw blow sky high. Mox plutonium contains deadly isotopes with half-lives in the tens of thousands of years. It also contained enough hot particles to kill everyone on earth several times over.

You were told in school that anti-trust laws benefit the greater good and you accepted it as fact without ever actually examining the cases. If you read that link, you would be amazed.

LOL!!!

Who cares if the competition steals a majority of his customers? He is going to have a set number of customers who are willing to pay a higher premium because of the value-add services he will be able to offer with a smaller customer base!

Again...it's always cheaper for a business to have a smaller cache of clients than spend money on advertising and other ancillary costs of business trying to expand its base.

Your assertion would completely eliminate niche markets. Something that will never go away due to consumer preference.

After all...if you had a bottomless pocket and were given a choice of being able to shop at store x for commodity 1 with the rest of the riff raff or shopping at store y for commodity 2 which offers a better product with more value adds, where would you take your business?

The medicine is still available at a low price if you go the right place. Isn't that the issue here? If other people choose to pay more, that's their choice.

Why don't you want to learn about how the AMA was formed? Why don't you want to know the history of a big player in your industry?

Mike, since my mom owns a pharmacy for which i have been doing taxes for like 5 years, i can tell you a couple of stuff about the health industry.

We have around 200 cancer patients and we make around 100 euros profit per month for each one of them. If our government deregulated pharmacies, I'd raise the price of those meds by 300% or so. Then our profit would skyrocket to around 2000 euros per month per patient. Then the poor 80% of the patients would die, but the rest of them would be enough to increase our net profit by around 50%. WE DON'T NEED poor patients, all we need is a few rich ones. And then we'd even fire staff, because if we only have like 200 rich patients, my mom could handle all workload. So fewer staff, more money for me!!

But the - government puts the poor peoples health ahead of our profit sad.gif

The competition would undercut you and steal all your customers.

Yes, you have competence about a system that is totally messed up. You should study the history of how it got messed up, and then maybe you would understand why government intervention is not the answer.

Seriously, try this one:

Because you're so deep in the forest, you can't see through the trees. You think you have all the answers because you know some industry terms, but you fail to understand basic principles of economics that apply to everything on earth.

Basically, I just did. Your knowledge of economics as it pertains to healthcare shows that you haven't a phucking clue or you would be able to define the above.

No, you didn't. You explained your own rationalization. But health care, like anything else is a product. And for some reason, you think it's the only product on earth that defies the laws of economics.

I guess you didn't read about drug-eluting stents. Or anything else I have referenced.

Just because a therapy or device passes FDA approval doesn't mean that there are long term dangers. Do you honestly believe that all manufacturers would own up to having a product on the market with harmful implications? You are aware that manufacturers are penalized on a daily basis for having incorrect implications on their package inserts, right?

But we don't need the government to keep us safe? And phuck accreditation and licenses for providers, right?

With all due respect, I have a daily subscription to several FDA bulletins. Do you?

By your answer, I can tell you didn't read the article.

I also don't get where you get your, "OMFG if health care was privatized they would charge a billion dollars for a band aid" mentality.

Just because your life depends on health care, that doesn't mean people will take advantage of the situation (though some might). Look at food for example. You can't live without food. It's even more fundamentally important than health care. But when was the last time you paid $2,000 for a loaf of bread? It doesn't happen. Why should health care fall outside the laws of economics?
