Hi,

Has anyone been trying to buy an apartment and sell it in a short period?

I am just tired of renting. Buying seems easier and it seems to cost about the same (actually even lower) than what i am paying for rent. No further plans yet, perhaps will be here for another 10 months.

Was looking at Uppsala which is 40-60min away from Stockholm.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Sweden Property market is now stagnant, maybe even falling. You will lose at least 5% value in the processing fees, valuation, selling costs etc

Buy only if you plan to stay in it or rent it out for a minimum 5 years.

A global recession is looming you'd be exceedingly unlikely to make a profit. If you balance against the cost of renting and fees at either end, I'dsay it's a pointless and potentially stressful exercise.

bear in mind that you will not own apartment as a freehold, if I was you , would buy a freehold house or similar status real estate. no point to hold cash in this economic climate, cash can easily become worthless but real estate will not, good luck
