Hello everybody
I have just arrived to Sweden some weeks ago. I found this forum and I have just registered, I think it is very interesting.
I am writing because...woow I can't believe how much expensive it is here¡¡ I do not know many places in Sweden, just my city, Linköping. I was wondering if it is the same in the whole country.
And, if anyone knows any "cheap" hairdresser's shop or barber shop etc etc here in Linköping, I would like to know too.
Regards¡¡
Military cut is a better and cheap
Last Monday I was in Linköping Centrum for lunch with a friend. One think we both commented on was the preponderance of hair dressers around.
We happened to be walking in an area that I used to live in 10 years ago and a lot of businesses had shut down over the years and are now hairdressers including an Asian Livs that I used to shop at every week.
We both thought that the prices have to be high because of the lack of customers. We passed 5 between the car park and the restaurant and none of them had any customers. I have not been to a barber for over 20 years when I was charged £20 in the UK for a trim that took less than a minute. Nowadays my wife trims around the sides when it is needed and gives the top a bit of a polish
Hi guys,
I want to go there. Anyone here that can help me about this. I want to go for job.
Regards,
Robiul
Costs 160-200 kr for a guy to get his haircut in Gbg. Fucking rip off, it was 8 quid in the UK.
You could make a fortune selling bowls and scissor "kits"
...So that's why the other poster wanted to buy..."hair cutting" scissors!!!
i paid 800 kr in Åhlens.
i cut once with other so called "hairdresser" charged me 300 kr but it was a nightmare, basically they just spray your hair like a plant, and simply cut them off, never again.
There's cheap and expensive places..
http://www.frisörlinköping.se/ is probably not even all of them..In the end of the day if you cut your hair in the city center its expensive, if you go outside of town then its cheaper.. i wouldn't pay more than 200kr.
Hey!
Did someone find any cheap hairdressers in Linköping? Or, any with reasonable prices?
I found a site, http://www.frisör-linköping.se/, with all salons. However, there were no price listed..
BR,
I bought a 300kr haircut kit and just do my own.
I can´t believe the cost for a hairdresser cut in this Country.
Lets not even get started on the cost of razors and blades for shaving.
Seven quid at my place in the UK including home visit.
Seven euros at my Barbers in Spain.
Always let our lass cut it in Sweden rather than be ripped off.
Hi Sprat! Surprised at your age you still have hair to cut!
Due to the exchange rate, costs me Sk 20 for a wash and cut!
*30 bucks for hair clippers!*
My wife cuts mine:
So that is the exact opposite of that old-fashioned Mohican style. Mine is similar, but the centre 'groove' is much wider.
Ive cut my own hair for years now. People overestimate how hard it is - it's really not as long as you are content to have a clipper cut.
Buy yourself a Wahl Super Taper clipper (same model most barbers use) and a set of combs with metal clips (not the plastic ones). Lean over the side of your bathtub and start on the top and sides with no. 5 or 6 comb and just make nice long passes, keeping the comb level against your head. Next pop a no. 2 or no. 3 comb on and run upwards on the sides and back of your head, about halfway. You can, after all, feel how high up your scalp you have run the clippers, so you can make each pass to the same point to keep things level, without needing a mirror to see the back of your head. Now put a no.4 comb on and blend the shorter hair areas into the longer at the top. Pay attention to the crown of the head and make passes into the crown from all directions (360 degrees).
Finally use a no.2 comb to do the detailing on the sideburns, over the ear and with the aid of a mirror behind you, trim the neckline at the back (careful here)
Well it looks complicated written down but it's easier than driving to a hairdressers and the initial expense of the clippers will get repaid in a couple of months, judging from the Swedish prices some of you are quoting.
There are plenty of "how to cut your own hair" videos on YouTube if you want a visual guide.
