Hi! I'm so jealous that you've already got qualified! Mine are still in progress and I'm so anxious about the results. Where do you come from? Were your grades in high school high?

Hey Ninja.Japan,

I'm Syrian, I graduated from an International High School in Thailand.. My GPA was a 3.89, but I'm mainly applying with my International Baccalaurette (2 years of it and I still don't know how to spell Baccalaurette :/ ) Basically IB Diploma, I got a 36/45 there.

How about you?

I graduated from an ordinary high school in Japan and went on to a preparation course for studying abroad since my English level was not enough to fulfill the requirement. The education system in Japan is quite different to in Sweden and I don't even know how to calculate my GPA, but anyway I didn't very well in high school.

I applied only to Lund's Development Studies and my merit rating is 20,85 out of 22,50.
I applied last year and was accepted with the same merit rating but decided to decline my admissions because of personal endeavors. I think I'll be accepted again... hopefully.. the only difference is I'm applying for a scholarship. Though I have no concern I'll be accepted again I know that the competition for the scholarship.

Hi, I haven't even got my merit rating and I'm extremely anxious about how it would be... Mine will probably be lower than your rating I guess... Sadly we just have to wait tongue.gif

Which program are you applying for?

Stockholm University - Business and Political Science
Lund University - Development Studies
Malmo University - International Relations
Malmo University - Human rights
Malmo University - Migration and Ethnic Relations
Dalarna University - International Tourism

I had assumed that it would be easy to get into Swedish universities until I checked the statistics showing the number of applicants accepted to them... Since it completely unusual for Japanese students to apply directly to universities in Sweden(I mean, most of them study abroad as exchange students), I didn't have any idea about how hard it would be to get admitted...
