Well Rafael, if there are any other relevant info that they gave you (that would give us even the slightest of 'closure' in this waiting period), please do share! ... (show full quote)

hmm I am not that sure about this . I know few people with excellent grades but with no work experience, no interships who didnt get in, and i know also people with average grades who had a bit more experience and they got in (for the same program ) . So i dont think grades is what matters the most.

Thanks Nataliii, I've also checked with ETS and they've told me, according to my order date, the results should've already reached Admissions... biggrin.gif

Yes nataliiii ! lol ! I know a guy with low average grades and no work experience but they got him in because his university credits were exceptionally high. I exactly don't remember how much the credits were but it was indeed. As i mentioned earlier at starting posts, higher education credits worth a lot (higher education credit means how many credits you are awarded with your bachelor degree by higher education councils in your home country and includes both the ranking of your home uni and workload per semester leading to number of years) making your application powerful along what course/program you go for.
Those programes who basis their selection criteria on CV and letter then they mean it. All i know they evaluate them thoroughly but how they evaluate its a mystery.
Like in KTH uni they ask almost everything ,Degree, grades, CV, Letter of intent, portfolio(if required) and working experience of atleast 1 year. If this is the case, then they take degree, grades, CV, and portfolio (if required) highly into consideration.

In short, it freaking hard to evaluate their way of evaluation tongue.gif sometimes its highly based on programe. The least that could have ever happened is already happened to my friend. His grades were 50% with no intern mention on cv. i think it was only statement of purpose.

Oh wow, I wish I hadn't found out about the statistics website haha. I was so hopeful and now that I've checked, my 1st choice is (1466) applicants blink.gif , 2nd choice (830), 3rd choice (349), and 4th choice (330). These numbers have got me really discouraged.

I got kind of discouraged too. At first I thought my first choice had, like, 40 applicants, but turned out I wasn't checking the Master's entries and I found out my programme has 140 applicants, and that is only first admission round.

Isn't the applicants no. the total? and only the admitted are selection 1 and 2?
Also, I don't understand why the number of admitted in selection 2 is close to the number in selection 1. I thought selection 2 was only a few spots for late or from the reserve applicants. Is that not the case?

I guess not. I am also a NON-EU applicant and I paid my SEK900 application fee on the 24th December 2016 yet my status for Mathematical statistics and Financial mathematics(msc) at LINNAEUS UNIVERSITY is still displaying IN PROGRESS as at now. Perhaps the various program committee deliberate on application by their own pace. Might be wrong though. Just a thought.

For those of us who don't have to pay fees, does anyone have any idea when we can expect to be "qualified/disqualified"? How long does it take especially since some have already found that out.
