The Local _ Finance _ Buying apartment without personal number

Hi there!
Is there anyone from EU who've had an experience of buying an apartment in Sweden without a Personal Number?

What are the taxes to be expected ? Any info is appreciated...

A personal number is not needed to buy an apartment. Taxes on apartments are when you sell rather than when you buy, so you shouldn't have to pay any. I hope you are an all cash buyer though as getting a loan without a personal number will be very difficult.

Yeah it would be all cash, but the intention is to invest in it. But that might be a bit difficult since there is no guarantee one can rent it out...

There is indeed no guarantee that you can rent it out, and even if you are given permission it is for a time-limited period. Moreover, the housing association may decline to admit you as a member if they suspect you will not reside in the property. And to cap it all, there are still limitations on the amount you can charge in rent if you let it out...even though many people will say there aren't. This is most definitely not the UK.

There is also 22% capital gains when you sell, even if you use it as a home!

...and the market is generally considered to have peaked. In other words it probably isn't a terrific idea.

The plan is to live in that apartment after a couple of years... But the problem is the monthly fee, which would be great to avoid, so someone else would pay a rent for a while...

You do know you can only rent out for max 2 years? Do you research before making an investment you might only regret.

Well if u didnt know there is smth like ägarlägenhet, one can rent it out for as long as needed.
