Hi!
My partner and I are looking to rescue a dog from a pound next year but the process seems to be very different here from in Ireland. In Ireland, you can drop in at any time, choose a dog, have a background check, and pay 100euro. Here it seems to be different? Anyone want to tell me their experience? How much? And where are the rescues here? AND do they do drop ins? |

If you live in or near Stockholm the best way to rescue a dog is through HUNDSTALLET which is a dog rescue shelter. All the info that you need is on their website: Hundstallet.se
We are on our second dog from the shelter. You can not just pick up a doggy in the window. There is an interview to make sure that you are capable of taking care of the dog. All dogs are checked out by a vet before they are sold. They are very serious and always place the dogs well being first. Good luck! |
