mi first post here,
thanks to anyone who will share his thoughts.

I'm in the process of buying an apartment and I narrowed the options to two candidates:

62m - 2 rooms - old apartment in Solna, to be renovated. Costs slightly more.
70m - 3 rooms - new apartment in Hagsätra. Costs slightly less.

What would you take into consideration when choosing between one or the other?
Does it worth to invest on something smaller that costs more,
just because of Solna "better" place than Hagsätra (that's what somebody told me...)?

Commuting time to work is the same on both apartments.
We're two people.

Nobody can reasonably answer this without more information. However, take a close look at the economic plan of the new flat...the assumptions they make going forward regarding interest rates and so forth. The lower initial cost may soon change.

Similarly, look at the accounts for the housing association for the older apartment. The country is very obviously at the end of a very long housing-price boom and there is a huge supply of new apartments which are not being sold. Except to see more excitement.
