As there were no free slot(s) in regard taking biometrics for residence cards in Stockholm (was checking all day long in last couple of days) I'm travelling (with family) to other city, where we could reserve the slot.

One of the ways to learn more about Sweden countryside smile.gif.

Hello everyone!
My case has a case officer since a month ago.
He says that he can not move further with my case because he is waiting for a confirmation from the decision making case officer. It’s been more than a month waiting for that. Does anyone know what that means?

Hi Everyone,

I applied for a first time work permit(for software developer) on 25th March 2019. And my company is not a certified employer. The MV website shows different waiting periods each week. While i applied it was 3-4 months and one week after it was 1-2 months and now it shows 2-3 months.
Anyone here who applied around the same time got decision?
Will it take too much time than what's shown on the MV website?

For work permit extension, when is the earliest time we can go to migrationsverket for biometrics?
Right after submitting the application? Or we need to wait until a decision is made?

Of course you need positive decision before leaving biometrics. why would they have your biometrics if your application is declined?

As soon as you submitted your application you can apply for leaving your biometrics as well! I recommend you to do it as soon as possible since finding free time slot is so difficult thesedays!

Hello everyone,

You can see my statistics below.

New (first) Work permit: for me, for husband and for baby boy.

Date of application: 2019-03-11
Request to conclude a case: 2019-09-16
Industry: Other / Metals and Mining
Certified: No
Status: waiting for the decision.

I'm losing myself, not angry, but I don't have any patience anymore. Unpredictability is killing me slowly:)

When I got the job offer, I was so happy, with more reading fell in love with Sweden, and thought this is the best country to settle down with family and raise a son. But now I'm in shock, how one of the best countries in the world can handle very bad migration procedures.

I'm very new here. I came here because I'm helpless. (we left job 4 months ago, our apartment contract expired 3 month ago, with 6 month old baby we are moving from one place to another. We can't make any plans, just waiting for the decision.
When first I applied, "Time for a decision" showed 1-2 months. I read some blogs and people were waiting max 2 weeks (guess only lucky ones have blogs:)

Guys, I will be very happy if you can share your experiences about my thoughts below:

1. Companies would get certified or get services from certified hiring agencies. HR manager from my company said that I'm first expat, and they didn't have any knowledge. But now even if they apply for certificate my case will not be evaluated, and hiring agencies can not intervene in the middle.

Most bloggers who got decision in 10-14 days, because their companies certified.

2. I applied from Turkey. I'm a citizen of Kazakhstan. Husband and son are helding Turkish passports. I live and work in Turkey with a work/residence permit (renewed every 2 years).
Do you think because we have different citizenships the process is prolonged?

I appreciate your time reading this not short post and will be grateful more if you share your thoughts and experiences with me,

Wish you all get work permits,
Guldana

You should have read my story posted around 2017.
MV took almost 2 and half years to take a decision on our extension.during that time my daughter(I brought her when she was 6 moths old and applied for extension when she was 1 year old) didnt have personal number therefore they didnt allow my daughter to attend school/kindergaten.There are no words to explain the pressure/sorrow we had.The most painful part is there was a school just in front of our house. After 2 and half years they rejected our application saying we didnt have insurance for the first 6 months of visa period.--------

If you can, come here on a BOAT instead of a PLANE.Then things will be smooth for you and for your family.Otherwise stay a way!

Dear Silva,

You have to apple 6 months before as it says in migrationsverket's official website. And waiting times for extension varies between 6-18 months. Today is the day. 6 month left from now till the end of your current visa.

Good luck this time, hope you will get in time.

My advise apply with certified agencies. Waiting time is 20 days. It's an official information.
