Digital/electronic doctors - accepted?

Doctor apps - how reliable?

Hi

So I was in contact with one of the pharmacies asking about some medicines and it seems they work together with doctors that offer help through phone and video calls.

I looked it up and there are few apps with same concept.

The idea sounds good for me as I have chronic condition (visible/can be shown on video calls) and my vårdcentral always fully booked so it is not easy to book a time when needed.

I would like to use them to renew my prescriptions and get doctor notes when needed.

So how reliable those apps are? Doctor notes from such apps are accepted by FK? Or will I experience problems in my sick payments?

Hoping that my employer cannot reject notes from such e-clinics.

Would be nice to hear if anyone knows about it.

Thanks

They do send you an invoice.

In case you are pointing it might be scam, no. They work with known parties such as Kronans Apoteket.

I can't answer you question but I just wanted to add that even if you have a doctor's note from a normal doctor Fk can ignore it and declare you fit for work even with a chronic illness.

I know a few people who have suddenly been told they are not sick even though their doctor says they are and Fk has never seen the sick person.

Wow, that is weird.

Well mostly I will need two weeks so my employer will be the one checking my doctor note.

I think those online doctors (kry, doktor.se etc) are not considered different from vårdcentral in this case. They prescribe medicine and issue doctor notes.

I hope so because they are more convenient to use and there is always time to book. Just wanted to check if any employer can refuse that because they are not physical clinics.

In what way was what I wrote "weird"?

Yes, your employer will check your sick note but after 2 weeks it is Fk who pay you so if you are long term sick they can decline your application for sjukpenning. If you are sick for a week then sick for a week and so on you can only have so many days a year before Fk pick up the bill.

I am only saying this so you don't assume a doctor's note is a guarantee to get paid while sick. It isn't! There are plenty of cases and groups with thousands of members fighting Fk over this.

I am not judging you, I am only saying there are many people who are genuinely sick but Fk say their illness is not valid to prevent the person from attending work. This includes severe depression, burn out, insomnia, anxiety, IBS, etc.

At the end of the day a sick note is a sick note but if you are sick often they might send you to their doctor to be assessed.

Weird that FK refuse paying sick pay even with a doctor note. Thought things were easier smile.gif

I have no problem being assessed by other doctors.

Ah ok. It can suck when Fk reject a doctor's opinion but this has been going on for a few years. Sweden isn't the country it was, when I moved here people couldn't be 'let go' for being sick a lot with an illness. Now they can.

Unfortunately the way Fk are being is exactly the same sh*t that is happening in the UK but at least in that situation a person assesses you. The Fk situation is done by people who never meet you, just look at your sick notes.

At least you are employed but I hope you don't get to a situation where you are long term sick.

But if the person is sick only few times a year, FK will unlikely refuse to pay him right?

I mean you are speaking about people who are sick for months. Will FK refuse to pay 3 weeks sick pay?

As far as I understand it no because the first 2 weeks is paid by the employer. However if it was repeated bouts of sickness for something they don't consider someone should be off sick for they can decline to pay you with no warning. You just get to know when the money doesn't arrive into your account.

Other times they can refuse because they think the doctor hasn't given a good enough motivation for your sickness, basically technicality based where something wasn't worded as they want, etc.

At the end of the day they are a glorified insurance company so they will try and get out of paying whatever they can.

Remember that you have to have Karensdag (where you get no pay at all) for the first day sick, a max of 10 a year.

I have 2 friends who have chronic illnesses. One has severe migraines and is exempt from Karens, she does not lose a day's pay at all. Another friend has IBS but Fk refuse to give her an exception because they said she can wear adult nappies to get to/from work where she has access to a toilet.

For me both are sudden and severe illnesses.

This is what I found online and not sure if this means doctor notes are accepted or not from such apps.

It says they won't accept the notes but they have asked the question about if they should to the government department.

Currently the notes are returned to the doctor who sent them for more information which they would require meeting the patient.

There is such a thing as Google Translate...
If he refuses to do the work himself, why do you even bother?
