Found English money in Stockholm

What shall I do with it?

Hello.

Today I found exactly 5000 pounds of English money at Stockholm central station.

I am thinking a tourist might have lost it.

It is worth around 60,000 SEK from what the internet tells me.

I have thought about keeping it, but I'd will definitely hand it in if this meant I would not get into trouble.

Should I hand it into the train station or the police station?

What is the best thing to do with this foreign currency?

Thank you.

Yeah, that is a problem...But, I will help you...you came to the right place...

All you need do is transfer it to me anyway you can...Out of the goodness of my heart I will even pay postage/transfer costs...

If you want I can send you my bank account and SS# to expedite the transfer...

I hope I have solved your dilemma and have freed you from this unwelcome burden...

Sincerely,
GH

Hope you're not a troll !

If I were you, I would keep it and wait to see if someone reclaims the money.

If no one does, take it and have fun cool.gif

Judging by another thread, the money is being announced as lost - by another troller. using the description of the photo as justification of his 'loss'.

Added to that I have just had a PM telling me that I have inherited some $5,9M from an unknown relative in the United Arab Emirates, and that having traced me they are wanting not to pay me - - - -

Anyone else here received such a PM ? ? ? ?

Sounds to me more like a new version of the old Nigerian letterr that went around a few years back.

Further to the above, it has just come to me that the UAE 'letter' must be looking for someone from the Hisingen family - that being my user name on here. So if there is anyone out there with the family name of Hisingen I will be only too pleased to give them the info included in the PM. Maybe we can then share in the millions involved - or not as the case may be.

Take it to the police. It's not your money. Nobody loses five grand in cash - especially not tourists, who would never carry that much cash - so it might well be dodgy in some way. Take it to the police and it's immediately not your problem anymore.
