Hi ,moving to Sweden soon ,be there this week to sign papers for my new house ,really excited .
There are loads of fine hotels and restaurants throughout Sweden so finding a job should be relatively easy compared to other careers , worked in Norway already and that was great .
What I would like to know is the average rate of pay for chefs ,all grades .I am a Head chef ,30 yrs intl experience over here but do not expect to do that in Sweden as I need to learn the language and the styles of cooking etc , happy to work at any level really till I have the confidence to progress so any advice truly welcome .

If you are really a chef, you'll be the only one in Sweden!
Here's hoping you're good and can do something about the food in this country.

Have you google for chef recruitment company for sweden.
try catererglobal.com or www.vakanser.se. Some will put salary offer roughly...
or try to work for rentachef.nu as a start, get a rough idea on salary
or email a recruitment agency, there are loads in UK not sure about sweden, and ask them

dont think you really need to learn local delicacies to start. Take away Thai is a big sell out in Stockholm. Fusion of east and west though.. is everywhere too
(pasta with sweet chilli sauce... hmm,.. run out of noodles?)..

lycka till!
