Was this personal attack absolutely necessary?

Humpers is very obviously 167% (+ moms) more profound, clever and witty than you are in everything she writes, regardless of her current state of mind.

You're just jealous because she's cool and you're not.
So there. tongue.gif

And before you ask, yes, I do love her.

Mark

If you see my post as the personal attack on V. you only show your level of intelligence.

By the way, before you had sat your name on the list of the writers in Sweden you should at least published some novels or other literary work.

I have seen on your homepage that you have such a big picture of yourself, you poor Canadian boy..

A few years more and you will be passé'

I am not posting here so that people would like me or that someone would think I am cool or not. I do that for my own reasons and I do not care what the others think of me.

People who drink much and often usually have emotional and other problems they want to forget!

Hhmmm, I see. So my 10+ years' worth of experience in corporate copywriting for web and print, as well as proofreading, editing and coaching for Swedes in English over the past five years are all irrelevant to the initial request in this thread, right?

Yes, perhaps you're right. Perhaps I should write some boring, long-winded "novel" that only I will understand.

All I was saying, Mr World-Famous Literary Giant, was that the types of personal attacks that you made at VHW, without any provocation I might add, are totally unnecessary, and only serve to show you in the light that you are (as if we needed reminding).

And my "home page", as you call it, is a personal blog. For friends of mine. And most enjoy hearing about how expats cope, and the cultural differences they discover, when living in a different country.

You should try it, it's a good way to let off steam when something pisses you off about Sweden - you can have a laugh about it and not take things too seriously.

"Poor Canadian boy"? Puh-lease.
I feel very positive, enriched, and blessed from meeting so many fantastic people throughout my life so far, in Canada, the UK, and now here (many through this forum).

At least I'm not a whingeing Mr Grumpy-Pants who moans about how this country treats me, or how all Swedes are robots and blah-blah-blah.

A few more years, and we'll all be "passé", dear sir. We all die someday, right. It's all relative, innit?

I'm not posting here so people will like me either. I'm posting here because I like the people. Most of them, anyway.

I've actually met a good few of them; in Gothenburg, Stockholm, and Malmö. Because I like them, and they like me. It's called making friends. It's a skill that you should try to learn at some point soon.

How many people have you met from here? Any? Have you made any friends whatsoever in Sweden? With the tone of the majority of your posts, I would be very surprised if you have.

"People who drink much often have emotional problems, blah-blah-blah..."
Thank you, doctor. Some of us like to have a good time, and socialise, AND we actually work well, pay taxes, and are better-adjusted members of society than the sponges who sit around and complain all the time.

"There are no happy alcoholics." (?)
- First of all, you're passing judgement on someone's alcohol intake without having met her.
- Secondly, prove it.

Finally, it's blatantly obvious that you don't post here so that people will like you. I'm just really curious as to what your reasons are, besides being a bummer and a pest.

He hasn't a fcuking clue, dear Norse-Caveman-Dude. Humpers likes a drink like the rest of us. AT least I've spent some time with her.

So I'm guessing, from your previous rants, that you drink quite a bit, then????

You know - you're scraping pretty low in the barrel when you start attacking one of the nicest people on this board (Mr Base). Your douchebaggery knows no limits, does it?

She is one of the best drinking buddies a girl can have, actually. Along with you, Mr Base.

Awww...running scared from a girl? Again???

Let's face it, even if I have a few pounds to lose, that can be corrected. Whereas your maladies, no matter how many psychotropic drugs you ingest, will never fade.

At the end of the day, it sickens you that you will never be half the person I am. It sickens you that women are far more intelligent than you are. It sickens you that I am a Jewish American and it sickens you that I can clearly and repeatedly demonstrate how moronic your cause is.

It's not often that I find people a complete waste of protoplasm and life. However, I really do believe that you are the lowest form of biology on this planet, at least intellectually.

On your best day, you aren't good enough to float in my toilet. On your best day, you're not fit to lick the piss off of Dock Ellis' c0ck.

In short - you are a complete and total waste of human flesh.

Sorry sweetie-darling, you've come to the wrong thread. This one is about WORKING. You know, that horrible thing some morons do to be able to pay the taxes which will support you.

You must not open it again, someone may mistake you for actually wanting to contribute to the welfare of the country.

Oh, so many helping hands! Thanks!
Will organise this a bit and set up a database with names and contact details. Right now I'm off to do the night shift, but you'll hear from me again in a day or so.

And, Princess, it was you who pushed me in the direction of smacking up a few ads. Thanks, I owe you one!

I run a website and have been proofing for six years. If you need some extra help, please consider me. I would love to proof some more.

BTW, if anyone lives in Malmo and would like to critique DVDs, CDs or books, let me know.
