A nice discussion.
The earth is warming up and yes humans are helping but do not forget that we are still coming from an iceage. We will have a tropical climate and then we will have glaciars again. I wish Trow was here to explain (haha) but i do not believe this Global warming. It´s political. Mother nature will fix it in the end as she has done for billions of years |

It is a good discussion.
My first question on the whole thing, I haven’t bothered to research yet, is what we’re the conditions that led up to the previous ice age? Does anyone know? Maybe we are interfering even more by trying to stop “global warming” Without a doubt I think humans should try to rely on renewable energy sources just for the longevity of the species. And I think we are destroying a lot of what the world has to offer. Or had to offer |

The Earth has existed for quite a while now, during its existence it has been a fireball to a certain extent and for millions of years, it was covered with ice, an ice ball if you will...Those are the extremes and mankind had not yet evolved to witness that, or be exterminated by it!!!
What we have now is a normal situation that the politicians want to use to control things, I believe that fossil fuels are still viable... Some claim the Earth's orbit is elliptical, and we are in a close to the Sun mode, there are a lot of stories and put together they are confusing... What I enjoy reading is the weather report histories, if you look back the old records are just the same or hotter/colder, etc., than they are now... I am waiting for the magnetic field shifting stories to become more in the news, the climate change ones are played out... In New York City we have just had four major snowstorms in three weeks, I guess Mother Nature thought we were too warm and decided to cool us down...Or not!!! |

Magnetic field shift... do tell!
Yes new oil is being found but if there is a limit. So why not also expand on possibilities with renewable energy. I drive a hybrid and think it is so awesome to go about 70 miles on a gallon! |

What vehicle do you have that gets 70 mpg??? Sorry that wasn’t fully true. I have an ioniq and it’s avg as of now is 56 mpg. It definitely gets 70 and above sometimes! But not the avg. It was more to express how renewable energy is a good direction and that electric/ hybrid cars rock! If I was super rich I would without a doubt buy a Tesla |

Is yours the plug in?
Our aging Prius with 105K miles has served us well but the avg mpg has dropped to the high 40s. Probably going to drive that sucker til the wheels fall off. |

Global warming is caused by Swedish barbeques.

The mention of Tesla has caused me to post this article...
It would seem that his batteries will have more impact than his cars... Just imagine his cars being charged by his battery power plants... That means no fossil fuel would be needed... So maybe the future is closer than we thought!!! https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-energy-vict...attery-project/ |

I am visiting Bombay for a couple of weeks, and the temperature yesterday was 41C, the highest ever recorded at this time in March.
A satellite town recorded 45C already now. Usually it does that in May-June for a few days. Now its many more days and getting worse. So the unexpected cold spells in Sweden, may mean killer weather in other parts in the world - thats all part of 'global warming'. On electric/hybrid cars - I do agree the battery waste/disposal nightmare will maybe strip the gains of fossil fuel savings. |

What fuel will be "burned" to create the electricity needed to charge all those batteries???
