No, they haven't asked any reason from me.
But due to long waiting queue for Swedish citizenship, they said they cannot prioritise my case. And I will upload the letter later for your clarification. |

Hello,
I have actually lived in Sweden since January 2014. Have applied for citizenship and PUK ( Permanent Uppehålskort ) respectively in January 2019 and June 2019 since my 5 years card expired in June 2019. I have been lucky to get my PUK Monday ago so i could definitely travel outside Sweden during the near future. I have also made a request to conclude my case ( Citizenship one ) last week before having the PUK and asked them at the same time to get my passport back since I am travelling in the beginning of September. What are the chances, following your experiences, to get the citizenship right now or do you think i will probably get a refusal due to the number of cases ? |

Yeah. I appealed to the court and the court accepted my appeal and asked MV to decide ASAP but with no time frame mentioned. That was around 3 weeks ago. Hello, Any news for your case? Could you please share your letter of appeal? I have the same situation now, they have rejected my request for conclusion! |

Hello,
I just got a refusal for my request to conclude my case, saying that they needed more than 4 weeks in order to study it carefully and make a decision. They have sent me that letter while specifying also that they will study my case as soon as possible. It has been 8 months since i have sent my application for citizenship. I am also wondering if i have to do the 'överklagning of the decision" or should i wait a little bit since they have said that they will fix my case as soon as possible. Cant wait to hear from your point of views and previous experiences, Cheers |

Hi,
So my case officer started to work on my case around 2 weeks ago after getting back from her holidays. She emailed me saying that she started handling my case. However, when I log into MV website with BankID it still says: "The Swedish Migrations Agency has received your application. It has now been placed in a queue, awaiting a case officer to begin working on it". Does anyone have the same experience? I read in the forum that people normally get decisions two weeks after having a case officer. Did anyone wait longer or still waiting? Cheers, |

Hello,
A friend of mine asked me the below question. I wonder if any of you have some experience or knowledge about it. He is a guest researcher living outside Sweden but have a guest researcher visa since 2015. He visited Stockholm few times a year but only for short time, few days to few weeks. He wonder if he is eligible for the permanent residence card or not. In fact, the main question is if living in Sweden is necessary for permanent card or only having working visa, guest researcher here, but not living in Sweden is sufficient. Thank you for your thoughts. |

you have to live in Sweden to get the permanent visa. otherwise people would just apply for visas and continue living in their home countries waiting for time to pass and apply for permanent

Hi Guys, Date of application: Sep 2016 , waiting 3 years Application for deciding the case: Jul 2019 which was rejected in Aug 2019 Assigned case officer: Sep 2019 Question: After my citizenship application I have been living a while in Schengen area out of Sweden. Meaning that my passport not stamped. However, I have lived and paid taxes in Sweden about six years. Can traveling or living inside European-Scehngen countries damage the citizenship application? |
