I cannot say which is best just that I would avoid Nordea like the plague!

To open a bank account I needed a Personnummer (Social Security Number), an address and the Swedish ID card from Skatteverket as I am not Swedish (Swedes can use their Drivers Licence as formal identification). These requirements are consistent across all traditional high street banks.

Choosing a bank of course depends on your needs. Nordea and Swedbank are both fine, with Nordea's mobile banking app rumoured to be market leading. Worth looking at some of the up and coming challenger banks too (they may even have different account opening requirements).
